The pink panther served as any hub while in Kraków. The staff was nice and location was good, however the hostel could come a long way by simply adding curtains to the beds, as well as little lights. The atmosphere of the hostel wasn’t what I expected, most hostels pump you up for either a tour or a pub crawl, or even a beer in the main area, but this one was very ‘do you’re own thing’ type of vibe. So if you’re looking to chill out and do you, definitely stay here!
Pink Panther's Hostel has the friendliest staff who are willing to help give recommendations around the city and make your stay convenient. I found services such as luggage storage prior to check-in to be very helpful so I could explore the city without carrying around my baggage. My bedding and linens definitely weren't the cleanest, but the bathroom was well-maintained, and overall the vibes of the hostel were positive.
The staff were very welcoming and even helped me out when my phone fell onto the roof of a cafe next door. The location is perfect as it is close to the city square and near many delicious restaurants. There was breakfast included and shots and karaoke at night.
Room had a funny smell, and was under construction on the same floor. Was a nice hostel, but would likely stay somewhere else and have a nicer stay. Walls were paper thin too, could hear all the conversations in the next room.
I had a great stay in the Pink Panther Hostel. This hostel caters to all, from party animals to recluses (me while I in Krakow). There's a great vibe and the hostel offers great activities, while the rooms remain free from noise. The room was secure, cosy and well set up to meet fellow travellers; the internet, facilities and staff were also brilliant; and the location was also perfect! Would recommend this bargain of a hostel!
Incredibly friendly atmosphere and staff, with good organization of funny games in the bar of the hostel, beds are comfy, included lovely breakfast, located right in downtown and have loads of pubs and restaurants around.
I highly recommend this hostel because of many reason: 1) Well located: few seconds from Main Market Square, inside de Old Town. 2) Good prices, let's say cheap. 3) They organize events every day (all for free). Take care with "vodka tasting" or "drinking games", don't hesitate to enjoy enough. 4) Their staff, is amazing.
After working there, after living in Kraków for long, you may consider Pink Panther's hostel as the best place were you can stay. At the end you are only going to sleep, however at PPH you will enjoy with every single backapacker and the staff.
I stayed two nights in Pink Panther's Hostel.
Overall it was an alright experience and definetely appropriate for the money sent. The design and interior was nicely and according to the name arranged. The kitchen and common area were clean and the breakfast included everything a backpacker's heart desires (cornflakes, toast, jam, sausage and cream cheese). There are two aspects I would like to critize:
1. As the walls are very thin and the dorms are situated around the common area, you will hardly find any sleep before 12pm.
2. The hostel itself is located in an old house, so there are some bugs: there might be a power failure if to many lamps are switched on, the showers are from hell and might frost shock or boil you without warning, you might have problems finding a place to charge your phone in the room and lastly not all doors can be closed. In summary if you are looking for a low budger hostel and your main priorities are meeting new people and pub crawl and you are willing to cut short in sleep: Pink Panther's is definetely the place for you to go!
The hostel is located right in the center of Krakow and everything is only a few minutes away. The hostel is really clean and definitely worth the money!! I would always come back. And I loved the balcony :)
They should pay more attention on the luggage storage. Actually everybody could ask for the key and get in there..
Good beds, showers, common-room and kitchen. Friendly receptionist. Location 15 mins from Main Station and one minute from Rynek, the main town square. Supermarket 50 m away, lots of bars and restaurants close by. And above all, great value for money. There are up to 4 sets of stairs to the top level of the building and no lift. The security of the building is compromised since the staff will open the front door without checking who is entering. The structure of the building is wood and there is no effective fire escape route.. There are no conventional luggage lockers, instead wire cages which fit under the beds. These are awkward to get at when there are many beds in the room.
